Dimitry Yakoushkin Welcome to Dimitry's Writing Website. Here, you can send Dimitry an e-mail, browse the screenplay area, or see the recent projects site. Dimitry's most recent screenplay, Mayflower! (directed by Lee Cummings and released in theaters late 2009,) now has a worldwide DVD distribution through Maverick - you can find it at most local video stores and also on Netflix. You can read more about Dimitry on his imdb page at www.imdb.me/dimitry Dimitry is actively and passionately involved in his greatest joy - television and film screenwriting. His latest collaborative work, Wrecking Crew, a comedy feature where four friends start a “hitman” service to end other people’s relationships, is currently optioned by Zin Haze Productions. Storytime Pictures (now DesignStorm), hired Dimitry to write multiple treatments and episodes for the children’s show Eon Kid (formerly Iron Kid, to be released in the US through the CW’s WB Kids.) It was a wonderful opportunity for Dimitry to intimately work with a full production staff from concept to studio recording and editing. Dimitry also was commissioned to write Deporting Chuck, a comedy feature for Ila Creations Inc., and another feature film, International Exposure, for Around Town Productions. In 2004 Shogee hired Dimitry to write the children’s animated feature Derring-Doo, set in the insect world of an eccentric grandfather’s backyard. Dimitry’s first screenplay, the dark comedy feature film “Movie” won semi-finalist for the 2003 Zeotrope Annual Screenwriter’s Award. His short Story, A Farmer’s Burial, won Finalist for the Glimmer Train 2002/2003 short story award, and he was a finalist for the multi-university Diana Lynn Bogart Prize for Fiction in 1998 while at UC Davis. Dimitry has avidly written stories since early childhood, and his goal is to be a full-time television or feature film screenwriter. An online resume highlights some specific works and experience.
